I bet Carrie Bradshaw bought "final sale" shoes…

If you are a Sex and the City fan (and even if you are not) you know that women can become irrationally fascinated when it comes to shoes. If you are reading this with bated breath then you are definitely a Carrie Bradshaw kind of shoe lover. If you are not, then this blog will be hard to understand but maybe you know someone who has a shoe compulsion.

I have to admit that I am not one of those girls who are “shoe whisperers”. I believe that they hear the voices of tiny little shoes that say “buy me and I’ll get you a date or “buy me and I’ll get you promoted. After discussing this with my store manager Amber, she assures me that there is no discussion, they just flat out say “buy me”. Unfortunately, I am not tuned to that frequency but I am sure that if I was, I would hear things like “I’m a sensible pair of shoes” or “black goes with everything in your closet” or “I’m a heck of a deal”.

You should also know that I struggle to hide my emotions behind a “mask” so that sometimes they show so clearly on my face that I might as well have just said them out loud. My favorite words of the moment are “really?” or “seriously?” and my face can speak them with a vengeance. I have a friend that showed me her shoe closet, are you sitting down, with her 428 pairs of shoes. Really? Seriously? I mean, there are only 365 days of the year which means that there are 63 pairs of seriously neglected shoes in her closet. I gave this same look to Amber today as she gleefully admitted to having 174 pairs of shoes. Really? Seriously??

Comparatively, my shoe collection is comprised of twenty pairs of shoes that are carefully organized in the wire rack beneath my suits. Before you begin to think that I am too boring, I do own a pair of four inch, black vinyl, thigh-high boots. Being tone def to shoes, I must admit that there was no “call to buy” because I purchased them to accessories my naught fairy costume for a holiday event. That counts, right?

So while my hearing may not be so good, my eye sight is in perfect condition. And while my shoe collection is only comprised of twenty shoes that were “a heck of a deal” there are still a few sexy shoes in my closet. But regretfully, they do not hold a candle to these Giuseppe Lannoti red leather stiletto shoes with silver detailing that are seriously smokin’ hot shoes.

What! A Final Sale?!?
Final sales are the cruelest, meanest thing a store can do to a shopper. It forces someone to make a decision in less than a nano second or lose an item. I have passed up a final sale only to wish I could change my mind. Ahhh regrets. So our consigner was in this very predicament after falling in love with a pair of $600+ Giuseppe Lannoti shoes. Not having time to even try them on, she purchased a pair of 7 and 7.5 shoes not sure how they would fit her feet. Well the 7 fit like a charm but the 7.5 did not. So now they reside at the Designer Resale Boutique looking for a pretty lady who will wear these hot shoes that promise to get everyone’s attention and melt men’s minds. These are so tempting that some shoppers will frequently stop by and try them on as they make their final decision. Don’t let these be your shoe regret!!

We can ship these shoes to you if you are not in the area. Just email us at akeely@dresaleb.com or call 248.840.2569.
